John K. Greiner
John K. Greiner is a partner for TKG&K. John was admitted to practice in 1985 and has been admitted to the following courts: United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania (1985); United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania (2010); United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (1986); and the United States Supreme Court (1993). John received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1985. He graduated from St. Vincent College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts and a Minor in Economics. He also attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
John concentrates his practice in civil litigation, commercial litigation, orphans court litigation and he has extensive experience in the federal courts. He also assists individuals with estate planning and litigation, real estate transactions, and issues relative to businesses, including formation, succession planning, and transactions of all sizes. John devotes a significant amount of his time to the practice of law in the Federal Courts, involving civil litigation in Civil Rights and Americans with Disabilities cases. John is also actively involved in advising and representing clients on issues relating to firearms rights. He represents clients throughout numerous counties in Western Pennsylvania.
John is a past President of the Westmoreland Bar Association, having recently served as the President of the Bar from April 2013 to April 2014. John served on the Board of Directors for the Westmoreland Bar Association 2007 through 2015. He was also appointed as a member of the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 2015. His Bar Association activities also include civil litigation committee, chair, 2008-2010, orphans court committee, planning committee, pro bono volunteer and bench bar committee. In addition to the Westmoreland Bar Association, John is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and its civil litigation committee, as well as the Fayette County Bar Association. He is member of the Westmoreland Academy of Trial Lawyers and its board of directors. In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors of Lawyers Abstract Company of Westmoreland County and served as its President in 1998-1999.
John has been active in church ministry at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral through its Bethlehem Project, and served as the President of its Advisory Board. In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors of numerous local conservation and sportsman associations, which include Local Chapter 1 of the National Wild Turkey Federation, the Sportsmen's Association of Greensburg, and the Fay West Chapter of the Friends of the NRA. He has also been actively involved in coaching youth hockey for the Westmoreland Hockey and Greater Latrobe hockey teams. John lives in Unity Township with his wife and their three children.
