Larry Kerr
Larry Kerr is a partner at Tremba, Kinney, Greiner & Kerr, LLC. Larry is a trial lawyer who specializes in civil litigation and employment law.
In 1977, he graduated summa cum laude from Washington & Jefferson College. Larry was an Army ROTC cadet, who following college was commissioned as a Military Police lieutenant, commanding a 57-man Military Police platoon in Germany from 1977 to 1981. Larry then won an Army law school scholarship which sent him to Ohio State University Law School, where he made the prestigious Law Review. After graduating from OSU in 1984, he became an Army JAG and served as a criminal prosecutor and defense counsel. After proving himself as a trial attorney, the Army sent Larry to the University of Virginia for a master's law program where he studied specialized in subjects including civil employment litigation. While studying at the University of Virginia, he won awards for Best Thesis and Trial Competition. After serving a tour at the Pentagon where he represented the Army in federal court employment litigation, he left the Army in 1990 as a JAG Major and moved back home to Western Pennsylvania.
Larry used his JAG experience to start a private practice in civil employment litigation. He has represented numerous corporations and employees in employment suits such as minority discrimination cases, employment contracts, non-competition contracts, unemployment compensation, workers compensation, insurance coverage, shareholder disputes, professional licensing, overtime claims, OSHA, FMLA, and other employment areas. While in private practice, Larry finished his military career in the Army Reserves, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Larry was a partner in the law firm, Berk, Whitehead, Kerr & Turin LLC. In 2014, Larry merged his practice with Tremba, Kinney, Greiner & Kerr, LLC.
Larry is admitted to all Pennsylvania State Courts, the federal Western District of Pennsylvania, the US Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
